About

We are a small group with a great tradition and a bright future.  We started over 50 years ago, and still have 2 members that have been with us since that first year.  We have changed from a big group of men to a small and diverse group that includes young and old, men and women. In the last year alone the number of active members has nearly tripled.

We are united with by a desire to contribute to Niskayuna and to make a difference on worldwide issues as well.  We are a thoughtful group, but our agendas are not political.  We concern ourselves with scholarships at the high school.  We are proud to provide dictionaries to some needy elementary schools.  You will see our members planting flowers at the traffic circle, or cleaning up Balltown Road.  Larger issues that we have helped with include Polio erradication, international student exchanges,  helping victims of natural disasters. and providing blankets for babies in Honduras.

Our breakfast club meets every Tuesday morning at the Blue Ribbon Diner on State Street in Schenectady. The Meeting begins promptly at 7:15 and we pride ourselves on being a affordable and timely make up meeting. We offer our members and visiting Rotarians the choice of either a $10 breakfast, or a $2 coffee special. Furthermore we also understand that many clubs tend to extend their meeting times to more than an hour; we make every effort to not only limit the meeting time to an hour, but to end upwards to 15 minutes early to give flexibility to our members and their busy schedules.

We look forward to having other people that live and work in Niskayuna join us as we “make a difference.”  If you would like to speak to our group, or attend a meeting to learn more about us, please call Phil at 701-7088.
